Are you one of the lucky humans that are permitted to stay in a monkey’s room with them? Of course you are always grateful for the kindness of the monkey, but do you show that frequently enough and in the correct ways? Here are some helpful hints on how you can be a good room guest.
Uninvited Guests
Remember you are staying in the Monkey’s room and at his or her invitation. If you want others to stay (particularly sleeping in the bed) remember to ask the Monkey’s permission first! Particularly if they are yellow and annoying. There’s always a bird house in the garden where they can stay.
If the Monkey is kind enough to let other guests stay make sure they stay where the Monkey says. In particular Monkeys need to get good rest at night, and nothing disturbs that more than having less that 3/4 of the bed to themselves and their friends.
Fermented Banana Juice and Other Donations
Since the Monkey has been kind enough to let you stay in their room then the least you can do is keep the room well stocked with fermented banana juice and fresh premium bananas. Regular contributions of Monkey bucks are welcome (read mandatory).
Clean and Tidy
Clutter can be highly distracting to Monkeys and so the human should always ensure that they clean up after themselves, their guests and pick up any drumsticks, fermented banana cups, banana skins or other litter that the Monkey has dropped.
Keep an Open Mind!
Monkeys are very smart, intelligent and insightful creatures whose ability to think “outside-the-box” regularly creates brilliant new ideas. Pay attention to their suggestions and don’t let your normal human reactions stop you putting their brilliant recommedations into practice!
In addition to fermented banana juice, monkeys are partial to chin scratches and scratches behind the ears. It’s particularly effective when trying to get the monkey to stop biting the human or playing canary tennis.
